HARC Women top Austin Valkyries
A big CONGRATULATIONS is an order to everyone who played this weekend, and in reality everyone who's played this season. We've come out of our spring 15's undefeated, and the win's over Baton Rouge and Austin particularly sweet with our history against those teams.
This weekend, we were short on personnel. Austin had 7 subs as compared to our one. We had individuals playing out of position, and doing whatever it took to help the team. We had a game plan, and we stuck to it, for 80 minutes. Every person who set foot on that field contributed immensely. I realized that especially when I thought about Man of the Match. We gave Austin's fullback man of the match, because she was really the only person that stuck out. For HARC, everyone did something above and beyond the call of duty. We also really showed our determination in the last 5 minutes of the game. Everyone was tired and pulled that little bit of extra from somewhere deep down.
Also congratulations are an order for our own MILF (Leslie Pauls) for her last game of rugby. And what a game to go out on! Leslie came through for us and stepped up to play flyhalf without getting any chance to practice there.
